Windows 8 je nejlepší OS (zítřka)
Četl jsem v posledních hodinách několik kritických článků na téma Windows 8 a popravdě je moc nechápu. Mám pocit, že všichni na to koukají optikou svých současných počítačů. Jenže Windows 8 není pro váš současný počítač.
Prodej upgrade Windows je a vždy byl cca. nula. Počítače dneška mají mnohem kratší morální i technickou životnost než operační systém. Prakticky všechny prodeje Windows jsou OEM z instalace na nových počítačích, případně nějaké firemní licence instalované také většinou jen jednou, žádné upgrady. Když někdo upgradoval Windows, tak v naprosté většině případů to nedělal legálně a to není tedy něco, co by mělo pro Microsoft nějaký význam.
Tj. Windows 8 jsou systémem pro váš budoucí počítač, nejspíše notebook nebo convertible a nové počítače už budou vyvíjeny tak, aby právě s Windows 8 počítaly. Tj. budete mít ultra rychlý boot, možná využijete lepší podpory SSD disků atd. a když už tam budete mít Windows 8, tak jestli budete mít všech 5 pohromadě, tak sáhnete po něčem, co bude mít dotykový displej, protože se jich budou dělat miliony, tak budou brzy prakticky za stejnou cenu, jako nedotykové notebooky. Možná dokonce sáhnete po nějakém pracovním tabletu či convertible s ARM procesory.A prostě pro takový stroj je Windows 8 jednoznačně nejlepší systém dneška (resp. zítřka).
Druhým problémem je současná schizofrenie aplikací a přeskakování z Metra do Aera. Ale to je vlastně jen rozšíření prvního problému a má stejné řešení – prostě přestaňte koukat na Windows optikou současných počítačů a programů, za rok už žádný vývojář nevyvine aplikaci, která by nebyla na Metro u všech dnešních populárních programy se jistě vývojáři přetrhnou, aby uvedli jejich nové Metro verze, ostatně stejně tak musí udělat, jestli chtějí nabízet a prodávat své aplikace přes App Store.
Jasně, teď to bude bolestné a nějaký ten měsíc budou nové notebooky dražší (tak jak se budou ty staré doprodávat), nějaký ten měsíc bude trvat než se objeví všechny programy, které možná potřebujete, ale vývojáři o novém metru i App Store vědí už dlouho, výrobci hardware už také dávno nové Windows testují, Windows 8 také ještě nějakou dobu na pultech nebudou, takže jsem přesvědčen, že v okamžiku vydání budou Windows 8 nejlepším operačním systémem pro většinu uživatelů.
P.S.: někdo tvrdí, že Metro styl nových Windows 8 je příliš radikální změnou a uživatelé zvyklí posledních 17 let (tedy pro většinu z nich celou jejich počítačovou historii) na Windows 95, budou mít problém přejít. Ale zkuste na to kouknout opačně – Windows takto natlačí všem Metro styl a ti tak naopak budou perfektně ovládat i jejich Windows Phone zařízení. Naopak tak dojde ke sjednocení mobilního, tabletového a desktop světa a uživatelé se tak naopak ve finále dočkají zjednodušení práce.

Windows 8 spíše ukazují na vnitřní rozpolcenost Microsoftu... vy smyslu... "chceme něco jako ipad, chceme taky něco, v čem pojede photoshop" ... a odpověď je "dáme tam teda oboje".
iPad je sice úžasná věc, ale knihu na něm ještě asi nikdo nenapsal... pro přístup k informacím je to báječná věc... ale pro tvorbu to zase tak dobrý není....

I já používám WP7 asi rok, před tím jsem měl pár měsíců Android, předním několik let WM, ještě předtím Symbian, v mezidobí jsem koketoval s iOS. Mohu tedy srovnávat a z WP7 jsem nadšen. Brutální rychlost, dokonalá přehlednost, minimum nastavování. Vše funguje od prvního zapnutí. Pro Cloudové služby stačí zadat jméno a heslo - nic víc, o vše ostatní se systém postará. Je to obdobné, jako u iOS, u kterého se evidentně inspirovali. A je to dobře.
Pokud se ergonometrie W8 povede stejně jako u WP7, bude to jasná volba.
To, že se nyní ozývá štěkání na systém, který ještě není hotový, řada věcí se ještě změní a navíc jej ještě zdaleka ne každý viděl, je stejná situace, jako byla před uvedením MSO 2007. Byl "slyšet" řev o trapných omalovánkách, brzdící práci, ale časem se ukázalo, že pro absolutní většinu uživatelů to je prostě lepší řešení. Pochopitelně, že jistá část zaujatých uživatelů bude stále tvrdit opak, ale těch je zanedbatelné množství. -

Nemyslím si že bude W8 optimální pro všechny (resp. většinu uživatelů), z videí, ruzných preview (která jsem sledoval z důvodu zájmu o OS jako programátor) atd. se mi W8 zdá být zaměřen převážně na mobilní zařízení (tablety smartphony atd.), na stolní počítač bych si jej nejspíše nenainstalovat. Rozhraní které jsem měl možnost vidět se mi jevilo zvláštně uspořádané (ale to je asi otázka zvyku).
Dle mého názoru je ideálním OS pro běžného uživatele W7 vzhledem k jeho svižnosti a přehlednosti a o bootavní z SSD se dá také mluvit jako o "ultrarychlém", ale jak jsem již psal vše je otázkou zvyku a čas nám ukáže jak si W8 povede.
Já osobně jsem si při vývoji aplikací a psaní webových prezentací oblíbil právě W7 (když zrovna nepoužívám Linux ;))

- dlaždice sú nalepenec na staré windows. Microsoft priznal že dlaždice sú reakcia na iOS a Android. Tak čo od toho čakáte? Rovnaké problémy s nestabilitou, pomalosťou, vírusmi.
- mali ste niekedy v ruke touchpad na MAC, skúsili ste ovládať MAC pomocou gest? To sa nedá porovnať so žiadnym hw pod windows. To je skutočná pridaná hodnota pre tvorivú prácu na počítači.

Za sebe jsem v podstatě spokojený. Tím, že nejedu po Microsoftí linii, tak když se mi znelíbí jeden počítač, koupím si jiný. Obvykle starší, teď poslední úlovek je IBM/Lenovo x61 někdy z roku 2008. Předchozí stroj byl z podobného roku.
Každá úspěšná verze Windows (tedy zatím vše kromě Vista a ME) pro mě a hromadu mých známých znamená uvolnění obrovského množství použitého hardware k prodeji za pár šupů.
Pravda teda je, že všude možně potkávám Windows XP, stará nějakých deset let nebo kolik dneska... takže až taková sláva to není. Chtělo by to, aby aplikace přestaly na XPčkách fungovat.

Odpovím - proto, že drtivou majoritu jejich zákazníků nezajímá, že namísto Activesyncu s řadou doplňků budou muset použít Zune Software, nezajímá je, že nemohou použít paměťovou kartu, když sám telefon nabídne několik GB prostoru, nezajímá je, že nemají přístupný filesystém, protože by na něj stejně nikdy nelezli, nezajímá je, že displej je kapacitní, naopak oceňují, že nemusí vytahovat a ztrácet stylusy a fungují geniální vychytávky typu multitouch, nezajímá je, že telefon mohl mít pět či třeba sedm HW tlačítek na spouštění základních funkcí, protože se snadno naučí, že když něco potřebují, stisknou HW tlačítko Home a zbytek najdou na displeji. A hlavně oceňují, že díky eleminaci multitaskingu a paměťové karty je zaručeno, že systém bude mít vždy okamžitou odezvu (srovnejte iPhone nebo WP7 s libovolným Androidem) a rozumnou výdrž na baterii (v porovnání např. s HW totožným Androidím telefonem).
Popíráte navíc sám sebe - nejprve se rozčilujete, jak to Apple vymyslel blbě a prodal hlavně díky marketingu, ale zároveň příspěvek uzavřete tím, že ostatní výrobci přístup Apple (všimněte si - nikoliv ten "marketing", který měl telefon prodat, ale funkce a vlastnosti!!!) kopírují. Ano. Kopírují, protože Apple se přesně trefil do gusta tomu, co je na Gaussově křivce uprostřed. A kde jsou největší tržby.
Lidi jako vy nebo já, kteří by si iPhone nikdy nepořídili, protože je prostě pro ně omezený a nevyhovující, je nula nula nic. Samozřejmě, že kolem iPhone je taková aura "to musím mít taky", ale nemůžete popřít, že iPhone vybalený z krabice (čili bez dolaďování) bude běžnému, tuctovému uživateli obecně sloužit lépe než libovolný jiný telefon (ať už se Symbianem, Androidem, WP7 nebo čímkoliv jiným). A o tom to je, ne o marketingu.

jj, pamatuju casy, kdy byl komp po 1/2 roce "na vyhozeni". Dneska mam komp 6 let a stale naprosto s prehledem zvlada vse co je treba. Dtto ve firemnim sektoru, drive se obmenovalo nejpozdeji po 3ch letech, protoze stroje jednoduse prestavali zvladat nove verze aplikaci, dneska se vetsinou stroje menej az kdyz se zacnou doslova rozpadat (fyzicky)..

Mno nevím. Osobně jsem přesvědčen, že za obchodním úspěchem Apple je především dokonalý marketing. Nic jiného. Technicky horší a uzavřenější systém vítězí. Možná je to dobře...možná špatně já nevím. Pouze pozoruji trendy které jdo podle mně k horšímu:
- kapacitní display...přinesl snad jen efektní posouvání nabídek a fotek. jinak na rozdíl od stylusu se na to nedá prakticky psát. Z legrace jsem si nedávno dal závod s jedním zarytým jablíčkářem a náhodný text (cca 1000 znaků) jsem měl stylusem naťukaný o třetinu rychleji a s jednou desetinou překlepů oproti němu.
- omezené možnosti konektivity s počítači : když pominu fulljablíčkářskou minoritu (myslím tím ty co mají Macka i na stole) chodí za mnou fůra lidu, co zakoupili ajfoun a chtějí po mně nějak to propojit a uspořádat s kompem a nejlépe v práci doma i na noteboooku a nevědí si s tím rady. Často jsou jejich požadavky zcela nerealizovatelné a když se ptám proč předražený apple a ne třeba Nokia,HTC nebo Samsung odpověď je víceméně "protože je to kchůůůl a má to Mařka i Pepa".No a mohl bych pokračovat, pro své Apple si nenapíšete jedionou řádku kódu, Nelze rozšířit paměť zastrčením paměťové karty atd atd.
A jablečný vovce hýkají blahem.....a ostatní výrobci se opičí....

Možná by stačilo zavzpomínat na doby dávno minulé, kdy kapesním počítačům kraloval Palm, těm dražším s klávenicí pak Epoc. Newton od Apple zkomíral na nezájmu dostatečného množství solventních zákazníků.
V té době se Microsoft rozhodl dobýt svět se svými PocketPC (většina to dnes zná spíš pod jménem Windows CE). Jako jedna z výhod, kterou zničí konkurenci, bylo "sjednocení GUI" a použití stejného API (tzn. pro vývojáře snadná přenositelnost aplikací).Microsoftí ovce hýkaly nadšením, jen Hulán ještě nehýkal, protože odkláněl. Seriozní uživatelé byli skeptičtí - jak může chtít někdo sjednotit ovládání stylusem na 3,5" displeji a myší na 15" obrazovce? To nebude ani kočka, ani pes. A snadná přenositelnost aplikací? Ani omylem.
Historie ukázala, že skeptici měli pravdu. Uživatelé Palmu šíleli, protože oni byli zvyklí efektivně pracovat, např. zadání schůzky či úkolu do diáře byla operace na dva kroky (plus vyplnění dat). U microsoftího Pocket Outlooku to byl porod o mnoha krocích s příšernou neoptimalizací. Portování aplikací se také prakticky nekonalo, protože v podstatě stejné API se stolním Windows neznamenalo, že aplikace skutečně půjde přeložit, protože a) zcela jiné GUI a za b) spousty omezení kapesních Windows.
Takže zatímco Palm umřel úplně, z Psionu se stal EPOC a poté celkem úspěšný Symbian a všechny začal válcovat iOS a Android, Windows CE zkomíraly. Čili systémy, které byly navrženy a optimalizovány pro mobilní zařízení. Prostě dokáží respektovat jejich specifika - omezenou paměť, pomalý CPU, provoz na baterie, malý displej ovládaný prsty. Oproti desktopu, který má relativně neomezenou paměť, mnohojádrové několikagigaherztzové CPU, velké či přímo obrovské displeje plus ovládání myší a klávesnicí. Právě pro optimalizaci pro mobilní zařízení iOS a Android zvítězily.
Microsoft se rozhodl pro radikální řez a novou verzi Windows CE postavil na kapesním přehrávači ZUNE (ehm). Optimisti doufali, že systém ještě k něčemu bude, všichni (kromě Hulána a uplacených bloggerů) na Windows Phone koukají skrz prsty a aby se historie opakovala, tak opět přišel s ideou, že se bude sjednocovat rozhraní napříč zcela odlišnými zařízeními. Optimisté (tentokrát včetně Hulána) hýkají nadšením, realisté kroutí hlavou a říkají "Déjà vu".

Vůbec nechápu, co tady většina z Vás kritiků řeší. Kdo Vás ve W8 nutí dělat cokoli v Metro stylu? Jak tu spousta lidí píše, že při používání "sofistikovaných programů" to bude otravné. V čem?? Pracujete na desktopu, máte spuštěné všechny potřebné aplikace a o nějakém metru vůbec nevíte. Chcete spustit novou aplikaci? Máte quuicklaunch, máte desktop - co Vás nutí přepínat do start nabídky (metro)? Nechcete nemusíte, to je podstata. A všem vřele doporučuju nejdřív si ty W8 nainstalovat na svůj počítač a pak hodnotit.

jenže v případě iPhone nikdo necpal operační systém z telefonu na desktop, vždyť i Hulán odsuzuje portování telefonního os na tablety ale zároveň masturbuje když se mobilní operační systém nasadí na stolní počítače nebo servery
možná že na počítači zítřka bude metro OK ale stále jen na počítači pro zábavu (filmy, hudba, Facebook, ICQ, seznamka, atd...) ale v počítačích pro (zejména grafickou) práci bude vždy brzdou, v CAD programech, v Photoshopu potřebuji maximální přesnost, pro nakreslení 1px tenké čáry je prostě lepší myš, žádný člověk nemá "1px tlustý" prst, navíc v profi programech jde o to maximalizovat pracovní plochu programů a v tom škodí nejen ribbon ale zejména metro s jeho kravsky velkými ikonami

Windows 8 spíše ukazují na vnitřní rozpolcenost Microsoftu... vy smyslu... "chceme něco jako ipad, chceme taky něco, v čem pojede photoshop" ... a odpověď je "dáme tam teda oboje".
iPad je sice úžasná věc, ale knihu na něm ještě asi nikdo nenapsal... pro přístup k informacím je to báječná věc... ale pro tvorbu to zase tak dobrý není....
Pořád platí, že matláním prstem po obrazovce ještě nikdo přidanou hodnotu nestvořil...
Pokud si Microsoft nevyjasní cíl pro Windows, bude ho čekat velké zklamání, protože zákazníci ho za něj hledat nebudou...
Mimochodem, i Mac OS X jde v tomhle divným směrem, ale snad se stihne z Windows8 poučit (a že v Palo Alto určitě čtou všechny dostupné recenze a názory na W8)... Není nad to se poučit z dojmů a emocí... Abychom tu tabletománii nepřehnali.
Na mobilech je WM stále velmi okrajová platforma a taky zůstane, pokud Microsoft neumožní tvorbu vlastního UI... proč bych si kupoval mobil od HTC, když je úplně stejnej jako ta podivná novodurová Nokia? Tenhle přístup si může dovolit Apple, protože jediný telefon se systémem iOS je... překvapivě Apple. Další by byl jenom napodobenina... Zvláštní je, že nikdo ještě neřeší, jak prodávat úplně stejné telefony s trochu odlišným designem...

Přijde mi, že se autor vůbec nepohybuje ve firemním prostředí. Tam v drtivé většině případů dotykové ovládání a styl Metro NIC nepřinese. Osobně to beru na mobily a tablety (možná¨malé notebooky), ale pro desktop s klasickými externími monitory říkám důrazně NE v téhle podobě.
Mimochodem nedávno jsem se díval na nějaké statistiky návštěvnosti webů typu stránky měst a obcí. Většina návštěvníků (i přes 50% !!) stále používá Windows XP... -
Nesdilim Vas nazor - ony vsechny ty predstaveni skveleho metra vypadaji hezky. Jenze pak si k tomu sednete a premyslite, co Vas vlastne zajima, a jake aplikace si chcete na tu plochu pripnout. Ja bych skoncil asi u trech: kalendar, e-mail, facebook... Hry nehraji (a mit zastupce na hru v metru?), nepotrebuji take zadnou aplikaci k nejakemu news serveru - zapnu prohlizec a clanek si prectu normalni cestou... Pocasi? Je jednodussi se vzdy podivat z okna...
Na svem Windows Phone jsem mel skutecne problem nejak smysluplne zaplnit Main screen...
Cilova skupina je proste nekde jinde, a MS asi trosku zapomnel, ze lide na Windows i pracuji... To je asi ta nejvetsi kritika noveho pristupu k pouzivani PC.

necháme se překvapit. Já myslím, že stejné argumenty padaly při uvedení iPhone ve srovnání s Windows CE. Unifikace, standardizace ovládání, jednotný market s úžasnou dostupností aplikace pro uživatele prakticky bez kradených kopií ... to vše budou hnací síly.
Informační systémy se dělají per case a stejně tak jako existují pro iPady a vůbec se o nich nemluví, protože se prostě instalují vně market a nastavují přes firemní administrační nástroj, tak nebudou podstatné ani pro tohle.
P.S.: nevím jak vy, ale já jsem textovou aplikaci ve windows ve firemní sféře neviděl asi 13 let a to jsem viděl opravdu hodně firemních systémů. Tam kde se používají nějaké terminálové aplikace, tam je to proto, že mohou běžet na libovolném terminálu a stejně tak budou moci běžet i na Windows 8. A nikdo jim metro nebude nutit, klidně budou moci používat ne-metro rozhraní případně mít metro jen jako startovací rozcestník -

Počítače dneška mají mnohem kratší morální i technickou životnost než operační systém.
Zajímavé. Já mám naopak pocit, že s výjimkou osmibitových dob mi nikdy nestačil jeden počítač tak dlouho jako dnes, a pokud něco vynucuje upgrade, tak je to operační systém (ani snad ne tím, že by mu HW nestačil, ale tím, že zavádí nový nekompatibilní model ovladačů a zrovna pro můj HW žádné nemá). Jaký je zdroj pro vaše tvrzení?
A prostě pro takový stroj je Windows 8 jednoznačně nejlepší systém dneška (resp. zítřka).
A z čeho vyplývá tohle tvrzení jsem také nepochopil.

A já si naopak myslím, že Windows 8 budou na klasickém počítači druhé Visty, pokud Microsoft nezmění jejich podobou do finálního vydání. Může to být "kůl" pro puberťáka, co si k tomu sedne na hodinku večer doma, ale na práci to není.
Firemní svéra je nesmírně konzervativní. DOS se už dnes moc nenosí, ale Win32 aplikací v textovém režimu je stále dost. Tyhle programy za 17 nepřešly na Windows GUI a najednou se mají transformovat na Metro? Opravodu velké peníze se točí kolem informačních systémů a to nejsou programy, které by chtěl někdo prodávat přes jakýsi Market a nechat si do toho kecat. Zárověň metro aplikace nemá jít jinak doinstalovat. Tudy cesta nevede.

Dovoluji si vám připomenout, že jste toho času v podmínce. Jestli ještě jednou budete křivě obviňovat mou osobu z trestného činu, tak věřte, že si dám tu práci a obviním vás z trestného činu a doženu to před soud a vy skončíte za mřížemi na tvrdo.
Já chápu vaši uraženou ješitnost, kdy jsem přišel na to, že jste podvodník, kdy jsem dokázal přesvědčit vašeho zaměstnavatele, aby vás vyhodil a tunu dalších věcí. A chápu, že jako soudním psychiatrem zhodnocený narcis to budete mít problém pochopit, ale za svou situaci si můžete vy sám. Jděte na léčení a přestaňte škodit. -

Jenže existují i uživatelé, kteří používají náročné programy (účetní, grafické, organizační, výpočetní) a potřebují využívat celou plochu svých velkých displayů. Pro takové lidi je Metro neuvěřitelná osina v zadku. Kromě toho, i facebooková ňuňu generace musí souhlasit, že kvalita současných Metro aplikací (i na WP) je ve srovnání třeba s iOS ekvivalenty otřesná.

Samozřejmě mi to nedalo a vyzkoušel jsem Win8 na tom "počítači zítřka" (výkonný konvertibilní tablet s SSD) - a nebyl to krátký test, v minulosti jsem otestoval i Developer verzi Win8.
Ve chvíli, kdy jsem to měl nastaveno "jako tablet" - super... Ve chvíli, kdy jsem chtěl to chtěl používat jako "běžný notebook", tak mi Metro přišlo otravné a raději jsem opravu začal šahat prstem do obrazovky, než bych používal polohovací zařízení (buď myš nebo touchpad).
Neříkám, že je to vyloženě špatně, ale představa Win8 na desktopu bez dotykového monitoru mě trošiku děsí ;)

O Windows Phone zařízení nemám zájem a rovněž tak netoužím po matlání prstem po displeji notebooku s Windows. Ono totiž někteří lidí používají tyhle věci překvapivě i k práci, ne jako kchůůůl technologickou hračku. Např. psaní SMS na dotykovém telefonu je pro mne naprosté utrpení, jde o produktivitě a usnadnění práce nemůže být řeč. W8 je schizofrenní neergonomický běs.
